Receiving the brief to update an existing suite, we set to work to make the space look unrecognisable. Situated in an existing commercial unit within the development – the interior scheme was cold and uninspiring for the young clientele that the development wanted to attract.
The contemporary development consists of apartments and houses which are each finished to a quality specification. The site is of great historic interest as former home to an iconic works, once a wireless factory and headquarters to one of the founding fathers of radio. The interior fit out therefore had to take a style direction from the surrounding historical influence.
Bringing in raw textures through a rough brick wallpaper – broke up the long back wall, whilst also creating a feature to catch the eye from the approaching road. With the striking orange from the development branding, it was brought in through large velvet furniture – adding in a contemporary twist.
Showcasing the interior options through both a mock-up area and also through a large peg wall – allows the customers to get hands-on and creative with their future homes. Through utilising the mock kitchen set up, as a drinks area, this freed up the remaining space for the rest of the sales journey. With high interior ceilings, bringing in lowered pendant lighting, and Edison style bulbs, the monotony of the spaces is broken down
